Our favorite celebrity stylists, Emily Current and Meritt Elliott, are back this week solving one very big question: when it comes to accessories, what is really worth splurging on? You might be surprised to learn there are really only three things you need to drop your hard-earned cash on.
1. A classic black clutch
This sleek staple matches just about everything, and is needed for chic lunches as well as a night on the town. Invest in something in a nice leather, perhaps with solid hardware and interesting detailing. Woven, perforated, or snake texture adds a bit of interest, and a subtle embellishment like a chain or rhinestone closure helps to dress it up.

2. A metallic heel
A beautifully crafted metallic heel, whether a sandal or pump version, will last you for years and years, from occasion to occasion. Choose a slightly muted version of shine that can be worn with a sundress or a red carpet-worthy gown.

3. A classic timeless watch
Although we are tempted to keep our time on our cell phones, it’s much cooler to rely on a beautiful wristwatch to keep you punctual. A mid-size metal number can take a beating, and blends well with your favorite arm candy collection. A menswear-inspired leather band offers a nice classic touch and texture to any outfit. Stick with classic black or luggage brown hues.
